Founded in 1945, the Federation of American Scientists provides science-based analysis of and solutions to protect against catastrophic threats to national and international security. The FAS Nuclear Information Project provides a snapshot view of different nuclear-armed countries, looking into global weapons programs as well as their effect on national security issues. The Nuclear Notebook, published in the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, is one of the most widely sourced reference materials pertaining to the status of nuclear weapons.
